The Parkland Course was designed by Seiichi Inoue in the mid 1965’s, a time when environmental issues were highlighted, and the Air Pollution Control Law was enacted. Half of the planned sites in the Nakagane area were protected forests, so the biggest challenge for Seiichi was how to protect the environment and preserve all these trees. He managed it perfectly, took advantage of the natural terrain and designed a highly memorable course.

Water comes into play on several holes, especially on Hole No. 9 where a huge water hazard crosses the fairway and No 16 where you must carry three ponds.
