Established in 1994, Ichishi Golf Club is close to the Kumozu River and the Kintetsu Osaka train line. Situated between these cities of Matsusaka and Tsu, there are many options in terms of accommodation when enjoying a golf holiday in this region of Japan.
One of the key features of Ichishi Golf Club is that the 18 hole golf course has been designed with every player in mind. Regardless of your level of play, it is possible to enjoy a round of golf at Ichishi Golf Club thanks to the wide fairways which are mostly flat but do have subtle undulations throughout the course.
The undulations plus the several water hazards make Ichishi Golf Club a very good test of strategic golf. Playing to a total of 7,072 yards from the back tee, water and larger bunkering come into play regularly, starting with the 5th hole. This par-4 hole features a dog leg left but can be shortened by playing a shot over water to the fairway. It requires a 200 yard carry to play this shot but you are left with a short approach to the green if successful.
Ichishi Golf Club has plenty of of risk/reward opportunities such as that highlighted on the 5th hole but on some holes, you have no choice but to play over water. This is the case on the par-3 6th hole which has water between the tee and the green.
